Lexus CT 200h hybrid car

Lexus CT 200h hybrid now cheaper but with more kit

Lexus’ popular CT 200h hybrid has been updated and now costs less yet boasts improvements in styling, handling and equipment levels. Available to order now, prices for the new model start from £20,995 for the entry-level S model—a £1,000 less than the previous model.
Styling improvements include a new wider and lower grille, new wheel designs and a shark’s fin antenna introduced across the range, for a sportier look. Inside, there is a new slimline, seven inch monitor on the centre console, a new steering wheel adopted from the new IS and a new shift lever design.

Six model grades; S, SE, Advance, Luxury, F Sport and Premier are retained with the addition of some new equipment and optional extras.
One of the most popular grades, the Advance; gains parking sensors, heated front seats and a fully integrated Lexus Sat Nav system as standard.
Elsewhere in the CT 200h line-up a GPS-controlled clock is provided on higher grade models and the Lexus Navigation package is offered as an alternative to the established Premium system. Additional features for the Premier grade include new aluminium scuff plates and LED front fog lamps.
Emissions across the range are below 100g/km thanks to the hybrid drivetrain which couples an electric motor with a 1.8 litre petrol engine. On the S grade model, CO2 emissions reach a headline low of 82g/km, meaning there is no annual VED to pay and business users benefit from BiK rating of just 10 per cent in the first year.
Fuel economy on the S grade stands at 78.5mpg and 68.9mpg for other model in the range.
It is not just emissions that have fallen; as well as a grand off the entry-level price tag, prices elsewhere in the six model line-up have fallen by £1,500.
Based on the Toyota Prius, the CT 200h has been Lexus’ top-seller in the past couple of years, claiming the title of the ‘first compact luxury hybrid’.
Now finance offers mean that the refreshed CT 200h is available from  £219 per month for the S model and £259 for the Advance.  First UK deliveries are expected to start in March.
